Can you play an instrument but don’t have anywhere to play?? Not confident enough or don’t have the time to go to pub sessions? Just want to play music and learn new tunes & songs for fun? We’ve got you covered!
Our brand new Irish Session Music class is for adults who have at least a basic knowledge and understanding of their instrument (4 chords on a guitar or if you can play The Kerry Polka on a tin whistle from school – you’re good!) and want to learn ballads and tunes to play with others. Don’t worry if you haven’t played in years – we are fully qualified and experienced teachers & music session goers here and will get you up to speed in no time!
This class is all about enjoyment, playing music & having fun with ZERO PRESSURE. We will teach you the most popular ballads & tunes that you’ll hear at an Irish Session (and we might even know of a session or two for you to join when you feel confident to do so)
.Fiddles, whistles, guitars, banjos, mandolins and everything in between – as long as you can carry it (and play it, please note that these are NOT beginner lessons).This class is run by Ellenor & Ciarán – who have a Traditional Irish & Folk band – The Knockadollys and also host Trad sessions in Waterford – so you’re in good hands.
